Actress Manvita Kamath is currently juggling multiple projects in different mediums within the Kannada film industry. She recently discussed her experiences working in films and the support she receives from her husband and his family in an interview with Bangalore Times. Manvita expressed her love for acting on the big screen but also acknowledged the benefits of reaching a new audience through OTT platforms. She emphasized the wider reach and opportunities provided by OTT releases compared to traditional theatrical releases. Manvita is excited about her upcoming bilingual and Kannada film releases, as well as a project set for a direct OTT release. Reflecting on her career, she shared her thoughts on social media and the need to adapt to changing perceptions in the industry. In the past, I used to prioritize interviews over news topics because I was unsure about having enough to discuss. With the rise of social media, I question if I should enhance my presence in that space. It seems that people form their perceptions based on what they see online, which may not reflect the full extent of my work, dedication, and respect for my craft. Unfortunately, if it's not showcased online, it might appear nonexistent to others.

I am determined not to let negativity affect me. I value the support of my mentors and close friends who have consistently stood by me. My husband Arun and his family provide me with unwavering support, while my mother initially did not want me to pursue a career in the film industry. However, my husband and his parents take a keen interest in my work and celebrate my accomplishments. Reflecting on my past, I realize that I was somewhat naive for a significant part of my career. As I continue to grow both personally and professionally, I have learned to set boundaries and not allow myself to be undervalued. I have made a conscious effort to distance myself from individuals who undermine my self-esteem. My goal is to continue producing quality work, and I refuse to let negativity dampen my spirit.
